Our “Affair of the Senses” shoot has been published on Burnett’s Boards and we are so excited to finally show off some of the exceptional work done that day under the direction of LB Floral. This shoot at the Knoxville Museum of Art was designed to be bright, airy and modern with an eco twist.
Our part, of course, was the hair and makeup. Starting with eyes, Alex chose shadows in cream, peach and soft brown, combining both matte and satin finishes. She wanted a delicate look for this shoot so rather than a liquid or gel eyeliner, Alex applied a black kohl pencil liner with a flat brush, creating a this very natural smoky eye. We think a beautiful set of strip lashes is always key in bridal makeup. Flawless foundation, peach blush and nude lips completed this very elegant look.
Now, let’s talk hair. The model already had extremely thick hair with great texture, so there was little prep work to do. Brandalyn wanted to create a whimsical braided look that was still elegant enough for this sophisticated wedding. She started by forming three linear french braids and securing them at the nape. Next, an oblong piece of hair padding was inserted to create extra fullness in the bun. The ends of the hair were rolled into pin curls and placed strategically over the padding, perfecting this ornate, braided chignon.
We hope you love these superb pictures by Star Noir Photography as much as we do!
